In 1995, Mr. Writer accepted the position of Director of Development for the Hines Development Group. He was responsible for entitlements, community relations and infrastructure development for both the River Valley Ranch project - a 685 residential unit project in Carbondale, Colorado, and the Highlands Village project in Aspen.

As President of the Carbondale Land Development Corporation, a real estate, water rights and Transferable Development Rights entity, Writer also developed several successful residential projects in the Roaring Fork region.

In 1999, Mr. Writer became a principal in Four Peaks Development, an Aspen group, which was developing a Hyatt fractional ownership project, two high-end residential projects (one at the base of Aspen Mountain and one at the base of highlands), and a 19 unit affordable house complex - all located in Aspen, Colorado.

Mr. Writer is very active in community volunteer work, including serving as Chairman of the Aspen Recreation Center Advisory Board, and President of the Mountain States Girls Hockey League.

Since 1986, Writer has maintained an active Colorado Real Estate License, and has owned, or managed brokerage entities since that time. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of Colorado.
